Report from the Working Group to Inform a TANF Hardship Extension Policy.

The mayor convened this working group to make recommendations on the time limit. The working group included TANF recipients, advocacy groups, service providers, government administrators and lawmakers. The working group report essentially calls for eliminating the time limit and instituting important protections for children. We strongly support the Working Group’s main recommendation, described in the draft report as “Preferred Option.”
